This week's writing task was a free-verse poem about "my Mum´s Hands". We
practised using semi-colons, a range of sentence lengths and using better Vocabulary. Our poems are based on an original poem written by Gary O'Connell. I chose to write about my Mum because she is someone special to me.
My Mum's Hands
are soft baby hands;
her back, Steady wall;
her legs, Fast twigs.
Her laugh is soft and pale;
her breath, dust like the wind.
Slepping
quietly and steady in my arms,
my mum
is the kindest person in the world.
ジ nice post bro
ReplyDeleteHi Hone, I'm Tiare and I am from belfast school.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your poem about your
mum's hands, it was very interesting and you
added a lot of detail which I like.
Maybe next time you could add what Gary O'connell's
poem on the side of your poem, if you can.
Did you enjoy writing this poem?
I hope you have a good day! Bye!

Hi Hone, Trinity here from Belfast School,
ReplyDeleteI like this poem. I like how you described her. It was very interesting to read and I enjoyed it. My favorite line is 'her laugh is soft and pale' because I like how you explain what her laugh is like. Maybe next time you could add in Gary O'Connell's poem. How long did this take to make? Do you enjoy writing poems? Have a good day.

Kia Ora Hony,
ReplyDeleteI like this post because it is very detailed easy to read and understand.
Maybe next time you could add in a poem on the side of the person that first created this poem.
This reminded me of when I had to do a poem about my parents at another school.
Kind Regards Ritchie (:
