Two Truths and One Lie

In our reading group we have been reading a story about a boy named who said he was the best skateboarder in the school. Jamie made so many Excuses not to do tricks that everyone was not believing that he was the best. They were shocked to see that he couldn't do any of those tricks

How to get to a new destination.

1. Take 40 steps towards the basket ball court.

2. Turn left take ten steps then turn right and walk straight.

3. Take 11 steps straight and then turn right and go straight.

4. You will see a cross that says finish.

 Now you have reached your destination.

I learned how to write clear and simple instructions. I learned to read and follow them so that I can be at the right place in the end. 

Sam and Lucy

Driving Cars

A man was carrying a car along the street and Sam and Lucy told him to put it down and drive it. That's how people believe we started driving cars.

I think that this is false because cars a heavy and no one can lift up cars.

Apple Tree

A man was picking flowers and Sam and Lucy went to him and told him to stop picking the flowers so that the apples could grow. 

I think this is false because pigs can't talk to humans other wise humans will scream. Also apples don't grow from flowers.

Bus Stop

A man was sitting in his bus and Sam said to Lucy "My legs are tired" so they went in the bus but the bus driver said the bus is not going anywhere it is a bus stop.

I think this is false because pigs don't know how to sit on chairs. 

How to draw a portrait of a friend

Today I will be writing about how to draw aportrait of your friend.

You will need a scrap paper and a pencil.

First you have to draw a oval shape. 

Then you have to draw a dotted line in the middle going from the top to the bottom.

After that you have to draw your eyes then mouth and then eyebrows and nose.

Then draw the ears on the head and draw ears on the side.

Finally draw hair starting from the top.

Digging for gold

Recently some houses in Waihi collapsed when parts
of these underground tunnels gave way and they find gold.


Does your family have treasure or do they not
have treasure? You know if they don't have gold
they can always grab there shovel and dig for
gold underground.


Have you ever wondered where the  gold and silver
came from? Well some of it might of came from
Martha Mine at Waihi in  the Coromandel.


In the early days, the mine was underground.
There were 175 kilometers of tunnels, and deepest
shafts were sunk into  the ground.

Every week, about one million dollars worth
of gold and silver is taken out of the rock

Kitchen Chemistry Experiment

Material: Milo tin, oven and water.

We put half a cup of water into the milo tin. Then we put the tin on the oven and watched steam come out because of the heat. After that we put the lid on the tin and waited to see what happened. 

The tin exploded and the lid came off. It happened because the water was bubbling and it turned into steam and all of got frightened and some of us were screaming.
